I have found a rumour that started by the developer in the official forum with a picture "It's Unreal. And it's almost here." And when the fans started to ask questions, they removed it quickly. Every questions concerning the picture in the forum will be deleted.
Is it a deliberately marketing, a missunderstanding or something else?

Maybe they tease an Unreal (Tournament) with Unreal 4 Engine...

Let them say I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names never die. Let them say I lived in the time of Narcisuss, sculptor of physiques. Let them say I lived in the time of Zyzz.

My guess is that if it's in any way connected with the "Unreal" franchise it will be a singleplayer focused shooter.

It's too soon for UE4 - it will come out with the next generation of consoles

Some rumors say they'll release a UE3 toolset.

Well, Epic Games showed their new features behind closed doors at GDC2011(which is just over) with a tech demo(a vid).
Before they showed it, they said it's for the next-gen. With those next-gen words you think of UE4 because they said that UE4 would be for the next-gen.

They announced that it will support DirectX11 now and has some new features, I'm guessing this is too powerful to run on current gen consoles(since they call it next-gen) but powerful enough to run on PC since the hardware has already passed the console's.

They released screens:

Someone recorded this with a shaky cam and uploaded it to youtube:

Looks nice. Hopefully they won't create UT4 with it. At least not as their first game based on UT4 engine otherwise it'll be bugged as hell again  wasted

Looks very nice idd Smiley.
Was kinda hoping that this would be UE4 and we would see an UT4.
Guess we'll have to wait longer...

Because they said that UE4 would be released in 2012 like 2 years ago and it' already 2011.
So I figured we would see some stuff now.

And some of us will tune it aaaaaall the way down to picmip 5 textures. Not me, but I'm sure a good chunk of ppl will do so.

Well, gameplay is more important for me then graphics.
I used to play on the lowest because my PC could handle more but the fps were only 30.

But I do like a pretty bow on it like UE3 Smiley.
Playing on lego graphics wouldn't really please me, might make me play better and see better but I do like something nice to look at.

It's pretty much like sex tongue, you want something nice to look at in order to fully enjoy it tongue.

Let's hope that it will be ready next year as promised. I wonder what kind of hardware required for UE4? GTX 570 should hopefully be enough to play on high resolutions because im planning to buy one with my new system. Have not seen any pages that highlighted this  msn008.gif

Looking at this just makes me excited for the future, but also hating a lil bit because this won't come to UT3 :(. Specially with that footage in Sandstorm...
