Anyone know what would cause my pc to act like this every now and again when ingame??
My gfx is quite new so should be fine.

Graphic card ram. Overclocked it too much, probably, else you should take a look if it works correct at all.

Looks like gfx yes, maybe you got 2 pci-e slots? Try the other slot. Does it come after a while gaming, or it can come when you start the game? If after a while try taking the case side off and see if it helps. Could also be the RAM yes, probebly you got 2 rams, try take one out. If that doesnt help, take that one out and put the other one in.

Edit: and of c if you got the card overclocked, get it back to normal sppeds as a start  xxxshifty.gif

I`ve not overclocked the card no need to be honest, I`ll try the other PCI slot though good idea. It occours at different times, can be playing for 15 mins to a several hours and it happens, always seems to happen at cricital points, ie big explosions or heavy frags.
I really think its a mem fault to be honest.

When its the graphics memory thats failing it use to get longartifacts along the screen. Try my ideas, if thoose dont work you need to try with another gfx.

Are the graphics cards temps too high when this happens? The fan settings might be wrong. (happened to me a while back.  Roll Eyes )

I found this in my minidump after a crash. Do you think it may be a gfx driver issue?

What is the spec's of your PC?
Version of graphic driver?

You should launch a 3rd party vga program like RivaTuner or Ati Tray Tools and check for artifacts.
