i've started using Audacity now for the first time, and i've made up a composite of 2 songs into one. There is just one thing not right, how do you make a smooth passage from one song to another?

I saw that vegas used this program for Dementia movie, and i heard the changes are really smooth. I'm using same kind of music, also Infected Mushroom but other songs from them.

Can anyone give me a tip on how to make it better?

You can change the tempo to get the same beats per minute of the songs to mix.
The beats (conveniently visualized in audacity) should overlap.
You can also remove the bass or high tones etc with the effects/compressor, if the songs don't fit together too well.

Mess with the best, die like the rest

Sony Vegas is about editing video mostly. The audio editing capability is limited. A great addition is to use SoundForge

Another great software is Audition by Adobe

For an easy way to create mixes is to use MixMeister
http://www.mixmeister.com/
You can watch the tour to get impressions

But Audacity should be fine as well.

Vegas is for video edition
Audacity is for sound edition. liked that mixture hunter maybe you can teach me how you've done it next friday.

btw thanks for the hint vegas  afrodd.gif i tried it out, but as i'm a noob i couldn't get it right, i'll see if hunter can tell me how  Wink

@Rattle: i've simply chosen Audacity because it was the one that look simpler to use, i'm very low skilled in everything that is beyond copy paste  Grin
